Parent Toddler Aquatics Ages: 2-3

Description:
This program helps young children and their parents become comfortable in and around the water. Instructors guide parents in supporting their child’s learning through songs, games, and basic water exploration skills that promote safety, comfort, and readiness for future swim instruction.
Purpose: Help toddlers (about 2–3 years) gain greater independence in the water with parent assistance.
Focus: Supported movement and beginning self-propulsion.

Skills and Goals:

• Front and back glides with assistance
• Combined arm and leg actions (supported front and back)
• Blowing bubbles with entire face in the water
• Submerging face completely and recovering
• Basic safety skills—staying near the wall, asking before entering
