The Waterfront Skills Module is an add-on certification to the base-level American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification. This module is specifically designed for lifeguards who will be working in non-surf, open water environments such lakes, ponds, and waterfront beaches. The course builds on core lifeguarding skills and introduces scenarios unique to waterfront settings, such as searching murky water, recognizing submerged victims, and managing shoreline rescues.
Successful completion results in an American Red Cross certification in: Lifeguarding Waterfront Skills, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid (valid for 2 years).
