Veterans Crisis Info

Mission Statement Veteran Services is the office of the Town of Fairfield’s Municipal Veterans Representative (VetRep). The VetRep serves as the local point of contact for veterans, service members, and their families, helping them connect with federal, state, and town-level benefits and resources, and strengthening the network of organizations that support our veterans.
What does a VetRep do?

  • Serves as the Town of Fairfield’s designated Municipal Veterans Representative and primary local contact for veterans and their families.
  • Helps veterans identify and access federal, state, and local benefits, including VA healthcare, disability compensation, property tax exemptions, and other programs.
  • Maintains connections with local Veterans Service Organizations (including American Legion posts and the VFW), state partners such as CT DVA District 4, and community organizations that support veterans.
  • Hosts and supports the monthly Veterans Coffee House as a regular gathering place for information, presentations, and connection.
  • Collects and shares information about local businesses that offer veteran discounts.
  • Provides intake forms so veterans and service providers can register with the office and be connected to relevant resources.
  • Shares news, events, and volunteer opportunities related to veterans in Fairfield.
